European Championships: Plushenko at preliminary round

Plushenko made his return on the international stage at the preliminary round of European Championships. He won the qualifying round with no problems,fourty points above the second Zoltan Kelemev. He collected 157.52 points with a very good free skate. He did a quad toe (even if he struggled a little bit with it), a triple axel, a triple loop, a triple axel-double toe combo, a triple lutz-double toe-double loop combo, another triple lutz, a sequence af a double salchow-double axel and a final double axel. He was not given the full credit for his spins: the flying sit was a level three, but the camel spin and the combo spin received just a level one. His program components were high, above the eight points except for transitions that earne 7.5 points.
